  1. It’s good — but too much of the research and rhetoric in the category focuses only on external constituents and communities. The ROI for going social is highest internally — and the guidelines you suggest for external all apply internally, too. Consider crowdsourcing innovation: volume and quality and utility of contributions from internal constituents (who are authentic because known, and whose interests are aligned) trump those from external — though both great! Thanks for the work!
